PokeBonk moves, abilities and builds

PokeBonk separates a partner’s defining ability from the moves used during a run. Level-up cards can offer a new move, improve a move you already own, or offer another type of bonus. Read the card’s category, tags and numeric change in the current client before selecting it.

Step 1

Read the three parts of an upgrade card

Verified footage shows that a card tells you what kind of choice it is, whether it is new or an upgrade, and what changes. The decision should start with the text on the current card—not with a move description copied from another Pokémon game.

  • Category: new move, existing-move upgrade, vitamin or another current class.
  • Tags: type and attack behavior shown by the client.
  • Change: the exact level or stat effect printed on the card.

Step 2

Build around what is already working

A new move broadens coverage but may compete for slots or attention. Improving an existing move deepens a tool you already understand. A stat choice can support the whole run. Compare the offered change with your current HUD and the enemies surrounding you before making the pick.

Step 3

A build is a run-specific combination

In PokeBonk, a useful build guide has to account for the selected partner, learned moves, vitamins, items and the mode in front of you. Until repeatable v0.8.26 tests exist, this page teaches the decision framework instead of naming a universal best build.

  • Start from the partner's displayed passive and move kit.
  • Use upgrades to deepen a move that is contributing to the run.
  • Treat creator builds as examples tied to their recorded version, not guaranteed recipes.
Step 4

Abilities are not main-series assumptions

PokeBonk uses its own role labels, passive text and combat rules. A familiar name or type does not prove that an ability works like it does in another Pokémon title. This site publishes only effects that can be tied to the PokeBonk client or dated gameplay evidence.

Step 5

Fusion recipes remain unverified

The official client loads public move, learnset and ability files, but our audit did not recover a complete fusion table. We therefore do not claim that the current release contains 106 fusions and do not list recipes, required levels or character restrictions without versioned evidence.
